WHAT WE DO
Offering strength and hope each day, every day
Helping a sick child fight their illness takes a big enough emotional toll on a family. Adding a financial strain can make it almost too much to bear. Our two Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald McDonald Family Room provide compassionate hospitality to as many as 28 families of hospitalized children nightly and to nearly 14,000 day use visitors each year.
The Houses offer all of the comforts of home including restful places to sleep, spacious kitchens and dining rooms, entertainment rooms with play areas, libraries, laundry facilities, and computer access.
Volunteers from the community prepare home cooked meals for dinner each evening in our spacious kitchen and a well-stocked pantry provides staples for guests to prepare their favorite breakfast or lunch.
Families enjoy outings to Oklahoma City Thunder basketball games and other sporting events, the Myriad Gardens, the Science Museum and the Oklahoma City Zoo. Activities, decorations and special meals are especially meaningful to families who are far from home during the holidays.
Interaction with volunteers, staff and other guest families contribute to the supportive and positive environment, allowing families to focus on helping their child heal.

For more than 30 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Oklahoma City has met the needs of families in medical crisis with the help of hundreds of volunteers, our partnerships with the medical community, relationships with respected companies and a community of generous donors. We couldn’t do it without you.
With support from local McDonald’s owner/operators and community donors, RMHC-OKC is also able to offer scholarships to high school seniors facing limited access to educational opportunities.
