Samuel was born at 27 weeks in KY where he was tranferred to Knoxville and stayed 18 days. During that time his family couldn’t afford a hotel and had no place to stay but luckily the Knoxville Ronald McDonald House took them in. They spent their days at the hospital and were so thankful to have a bed to lay down in at night and a nice shower to clean up. Sadly Samuel passed away 18 days after his birth.
5 years later they were in need of a place to stay again when their son Toby was born prematurely and they spent two weeks in the NICU at the University of Kentucky children’s hospital. The Ronald McDonald House in Lexington gave them a home and they were able to bring Toby home this past January!
“The Ronald McDonald House is such a blessing. We are forever grateful.” – Samantha, Samuel and Toby’s mom.
